So It's a Really Bad Joke
You're here, aren't you? So it can't have been that bad.
This is a page of connections to outside sites, grouped by meaning. It'll be one big long list of babble, to peruse as you will. Please do.
- Music that Means Something To Me - a large category in my life, but one worth mentioning. This is a set of links to lyrics of songs that seem to matter to me for some reason, each with a brief explanation of why they matter.
- Runaway Train: A song by Soul Asylum about lost and runaway children. Coopted by me as a perfect description of clinical depression.
- The Annotated "Touch of Grey": The Grateful Dead. This is a song that says a great deal about my attitude towards large bits of living. Set it up against Runaway Train for a good head-on musical/philosophical collision.
- I Know You're Out There Somewhere: The Moody Blues. A truly beautiful, powerful song about misplaced and refound love, one which is very dear to me for a vast number of reasons.
- American Pie: Don McLean, as annotated. This song ties into a vast network of memories on my part, all involving the wonderfully strange place known as CTY aka the Center for Tormented Yaks.
- The
Engineer's Drinking Song: Okay. So it's weird. But I don't know if
it's meaningful music or humor.
- Weird Humor - I have a twisted sense of humor. Some thigns are just
funny.
