Padrecito is a word in Spanish. The word 'padre' is, of course, the word for father - cito is an affectionate diminutive. Therefore, the word could be translated as "Little father" or possibly "Dear father".

For more derivation, there are other poem introductions.

Padrecito

I am my father's daughter
Prone to deep and lasting passions
Marvels at the nature of the cosmos
The small deaths of depression
Eloquence only in words
Emotions fumbled for the moment spoken
Sharp as crystal to this page
Wounding from a slashed sentence -
Blood will tell
Poetry, inheritance not genetic
Not tangible
Save in the power of evocation.
