This is impossible to explain. If you don't know Emrys, I can't explain him; he's not mine.

However, there is a piece of my psyche I refer to as Songdragon - she is, in many ways, my channel to the muse, my music, my power. This was written for her, or possibly by her.

Dedicated to Emrys... and more to the one who holds him.

Granddaughter

When I was young I drew dragons
With the heads of horses
And solitary spearing horns.
Now she comes to me,
Fanged and winged,
Music incarnate to my heart
The pearled single horn on her brow.
Laughing gently -
Pointing to the blue unicorn
Playing his flute
In the meadow.
"Grandfather," she says, gently
Chidingly,
Teasing me for not noticing earlier.
