I think this one is refined to the point where it can go on said page. I find that it's useful because it combines meat and veggies into a single quick-to-cook dish, thus simplifying dinner preparations greatly.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
Take a large frying pan (which you have a lid for), place it on high heat, and put a spoonful or so of oil in it. Add pepper, garlic, or other spices as desired. When the pan is hot, put in the beef and cook, stirring, until lightly browned and reasonably cooked-through. (The lid is useful for adjusting the relative rates of these -- putting the lid on makes it brown less and cook more in the middle). Meanwhile, defrost the spinach in the microwave (or, lacking a microwave, merely break the frozen chunk up into pieces). When the beef is essentially done, mix in the spinach and walnuts, and add spices to taste (I find that nutmeg is good with spinach) and a small amount of water. Simmer for a few minutes, until the flavors are properly mingled and the spinach is heated through.
Servings: 1-2 (leftovers keep well)
Total time: Roughly ten minutes.
Variations: This would probably also work well with chicken, or possibly
even some sort of seafood, instead of the beef.
