OK you turkeys - put your cards on the table. Tell us what kind of a ballplayer you are (or were). Toine and Bob-Nob busted me in the "Hope You're Not Disappointed" thread that I have copied below. My play is described at the end. I want to hear Toine & Bob-Nob's descriptions. hahaha

(I am grinning as I come in for the kill)
T.
*grin* Of course, they're also still talking about the way Dick
Stuart played first ...
Catch you later.

They do?
Were you really so utterly, stupendiously.......
Nah, too easy....
Never mind!

I ended up playing softball more than baseball as an adult because that
was
all they were playing around here. Never liked it as well as hardball -
but
it was better than nothing. I was sort of a down and dirty player -
always
sliding, diving, sweaty and dirty. Not much power and a rag arm which I
had
hurt as a teen and never got strength back. I did like to bunt for hits
and
hit to the opposite field. As a right handed batter, the opposite being
right field where most teams put their weakest fielder <g>. When I
say
"they are still talking about me" I am only half kidding. It's really
only
one guy (not they) who has remained in touch (he's a Sox fan) - who keeps
reminding me of my 3rd base play. With my rag arm I got used to charging
on
most pitches to facilitate my throwing (don't ask) - so on bunt situations
I
was known to be right in front of the batter. Also did that with
selective
power hitters - daring them to try to ram it down my throat. Fortunately
I'm alive to tell the story - and hear my Sox fan buddy remind me of it.
No great accomplishments - but a hell of a lot of fun. Only other thing
worth mentioning was playing fast pitch with a team of mostly cops and
troopers that would regularly go in to prisons to play - but that's
another
story.
